Inaugurated in December 2013, this glass "cabin" allows adventurers to apprehend the feelings of emptiness and freedom, but in complete safety. Located on the upper terrace of the Aiguille du Midi at 3842 meters, this fully glazed room has been nicknamed "The highest attraction in Europe".
“Le Pas dans le Vide” is a unique creation at this altitude, a true technique of prowess both in the materials used and in the difficulty of implementation. The Aiguille du midi, you offer a unique discovery in the world, you can live an extraordinary experience, in total immersion in the world of high mountains. The eye is drawn to the highest peaks in Europe.
You will start this new experience with the “session” of the slippers, in fact in order to preserve the clarity of the glass, you will put warm slippers before you can admire the surrounding nature.
On the safety side, the glazing is reinforced and can withstand extreme conditions: winds of more than 220 km/h as well as polar temperatures of – 40 degrees. The Aiguille du Midi glass cage can withstand a pressure of around 3,300 livres. Stop time to admire the majestic Mont-Blanc and the sublime Glacier des Bossons. Do not forget to take warm clothes whatever the season.
